Snarfington Puppy Intake & Purchase Process (BC)

Thanks for considering a Snarfington Bull Terrier. Below you’ll find our step-by-step process, what’s included, timelines, pricing notes, and a quick scam-avoidance checklist. We’re based in Surrey, BC.

At-a-Glance Timeline
  1. Application — Complete our quick form (5–10 minutes).

  2. Conversation — We schedule a call to learn about your home, goals, and experience. A typical interview involves either a visit to the Kennel, a video call with WhatsApp, or a phone call.

  3. Approval & Reservation — If approved, place a non-refundable reservation fee to hold a spot.

  4. Matching — We match puppies to homes based on temperament and lifestyle fit.

  5. Go-Home (~8 Weeks) — Vet visit, health records, and take-home kit provided.

Step 1 — Apply

Start by completing our Puppy Application. Share your routine, other pets, and goals (family companion, sport, show, etc.).

Step 2 — Meet & Ask Questions

We arrange a call (or visit when appropriate) to discuss the breed, our program, training plans, and your expectations. Bring all your questions.

Step 3 — Approval & Reservation Fee

If approved, you can secure a spot with a non-refundable reservation fee applied to your final price. If timing isn’t right, you may defer to a future planned litter.

Step 4 — Matching Puppies to Families

We observe each puppy’s development and temperament. We consider your preferences, but fit comes first to set everyone up for success.

Step 5 — Contracts, What’s Included & Go-Home
  • Contracts: Our written agreement explains health guarantees, care standards, and return/support policies.

  • Included: Veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming record, identification/registration as applicable, and a starter guide.

  • Pickup: Local pickup in Surrey, BC. For out-of-area buyers, ask us about options that comply with current regulations.

Pricing

Our puppies are placed for $4,500 CAD (including GST and PST). This price reflects health testing, veterinary care, CKC registration, and our structured puppy-raising program. We participate in a network of responsible BC breeders who keep pricing at a fair, sustainable level to protect the breed and discourage unethical breeding practices.

Payment & Waitlist Policies
  • Reservation fee: Non-refundable (reserves a limited spot); applied to final balance.

  • Balance due: Typically at or just before pickup.

  • Deferrals: If no suitable match is available, we can discuss deferring to a later litter.

Responsible Ownership Expectations

We support lifelong placement. If circumstances change, contact us first—our contract explains how we can help.

Avoiding Puppy Scams...

Buying a puppy is an emotional experience that criminals take advantage of. People either lose money or receive a puppy that has health or genetic problems. Please follow these rules to take a bite out of the scammers out there:

1- Always speak to the Breeder over the phone or meet them in person. Meet the puppies and check out the conditions of the Kennel.

2- Avoid sketchy payment options. No wire transfers, gift cards, or Bitcoin.

3- Take your time. Scammers will push for a quick transaction. Contact multiple breeders registered with the Canadian Kennel Club.

4- Ask lots of questions. Legitimate breeders will gush for hours about their lovely dogs and will have information about the puppy's parents and pedigree.

5- Get the paperwork. All CKC registered litters will provide documentation of pedigree with the puppy. There should be proof of vaccinations and veterinarian health certificates.

6- Read this Canadian Kennel Club page. It has great tips that will help prospective Snarf owners to avoid problems.
